Main Gear

Increased MW power requires a larger, efficient, high-performance transmission. The main gears in wind turbines must perform daily at their highest and function maintenance-free for the longest possible period. Unpredictable operating conditions such as sudden changes in load and temperature, humidity as well as highly dynamic loads are only a few factors effecting performance and service life of the main transmission. Repair and maintenance costs in approx. 100 meter height are complex and costly, should a problem occur. The selection of the appropriate lubricant increases operational availability as well as transmission efficiency and enables cost savings. Main gear

Turmogearoil PE 220

Multiply alloyed, ester oil based, synthetic gear oil with high thermal stability as well as good wear and corrosion protection. The adhesive and load-resistant high performance gear oil of ISO-VG grade 220 features a maximum load stage in the FZG-test, shows high pressure stability and protects gears from premature fatigue. It absorbs operating noise and prevents sludge formation for clean and long-term performing gears.

Turmogearoil PE 320

Multi-alloyed, ester oil based, synthetic gear oil with high thermal stability as well as good wear and corrosion protection. Turmogrease WKA

Synthetic lithium special soap lubricant, based on PAO/ester oil, with specially selected additives for the long-term lubrication of customised gear boxes such as the main transmissions in wind turbines. Excellent temperature properties prevent heating at high performance levels and enable a silent operation. It allows low starting resistance as well as a low coefficient of friction due to its good surface adhesion and protects reliably against wear and oxidation.
